Energy and Sustainability Analyst for Federal Energy Efficiency and Climate Protection Programs

Job Description:
ICF is seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated candidate to help federal clients promote programs and communicate their energy and sustainability successes. This position will be a hybrid role based in our Crystal City, VA office. Successful candidates will support the implementation of high-profile federal programs to drive energy efficiency across the country. They will be part of a team that builds and maintains relationships with key market actors, reviews and tracks energy efficiency policy, and collaborates with other team members and clients to develop national and regional strategies to increase participation in energy efficiency programs.
Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Collaborating with government clients to facilitate successful and efficient program implementation.

Engaging with industry stakeholders, such as utilities and state energy offices, responding to their questions and educating them on program resources.

Reviewing policy updates in key areas and identifying impacts for key stakeholders as well as tracking changes to relevant programs.

Reviewing and analyzing data to support core program processes, ensure program integrity, and distill data into narratives for reports, case studies, etc.

Developing and deploying communications and outreach strategies to increase use of program materials and branding, recruit new partners, and enhance existing relationships.

Contributing to the development and deployment of communications, outreach, and training resources, including web content, case studies, presentations, in-person events, and other opportunities.

Establishing and contributing to task schedules to ensure contract deliverable requirements are met on time and within budget.

Identifying and implementing creative opportunities to streamline administrative processes.

Providing critical internal team coordination for tasks like regular client and stakeholder communications, periodic reports, and key tracking systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of study such as environmental studies/policies, public policy, economics, communications, or related fields

Two (2)+ years of relevant work experience

Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Skills/Experience:
-
Familiarity of the ENERGY STAR program and brand
-
Experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software systems

A self-motivated and proactive contributor
-
Methodical/logical thinker with ability to grasp the bigger picture

Familiarity with stakeholder outreach and management

Experience working with internal or external clients

Interest in energy efficiency, sustainability, or environmental and climate programs and policy.
