Job Title: Youth Minister

Reports to: Lead Pastor

Classification: Part-Time

Primary Function: The PBC Youth Minister works under the direction of the Lead Pastor in planning, administering, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating comprehensive and active Youth Ministry for Potosi Baptist Church.

Qualifications:

• Must be in an authentic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Meets the qualifications of 1 Timothy & Titus.
• Maintain consistent spiritual disciplines – including but not limited to prayer & Bible study.
• Be intentional in the area of disciple-making within their ministry to youth.
• Must possess a strong work ethic and desire to continue learning.
• Must be able to work within a team setting.
• Maintains the initiative to achieve individual goals and duties within their area of ministry.
• Strong communication skills.
• Bible College or Seminary preferred.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead the PBC youth ministry by teaching, overseeing, planning and leadership development.
• Plan and implement Bible Study, worship, fellowship, and community building events for students.
• Recruit a youth ministry student led leadership team as well as a team of adult volunteers.
• Develop relationships with parents and create avenues of regular communication.
• Implement a system to follow-up with prospective students.
• Strategically schedule time to attend student extra-curricular events.
• Create opportunities for the youth to participate in outreach.
• Develop and maintain a yearly calendar for the youth ministry.
• Oversee an annual budget for youth ministry.
• Support the entire direction of the church.
• Oversee social media portion of the PBC youth ministry.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $16,000.00 per year
