What you’ll do

The Sr. Human Resources Manager will play a meaningful role in executing our key HR initiatives, providing responsive internal employee support, and driving HR functional excellence within our manufacturing sites. This role will support the Westborough, MA, location and some smaller locations in the area.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing HR initiatives – process and employment practice improvement, training, metrics/trends and analysis
  • Partnering with and guiding business leaders through solving complex employee relations matters
  • Providing strategy, technical expertise, training, and direction to HR community as well as business partners and managers regarding the best management practices
  • Assist in developing a strategic governance model for ensuring global Employee Relations ( ER) support and compliance with local country laws and practices
  • Design and use analytics modeling, trending analysis and ER metrics utilizing MS Excel
  • Lead the development and implementation of HR/ER related initiatives and projects throughout the organization
  • Will develop, recommend, and implement human resources programs covering: Performance Management aligned with business needs, Workforce Planning and Employment, Human Resource Development, Compensation and Benefits, and Employment and Labor Relations.
  • Maintains HR staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities
  • Accomplishes human resources staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and making sure systems, policies, and procedures are followed.
  • Enhances organizational effectiveness by identifying and analyzing current circumstances, implementing organization development opportunities by supporting training programs and recommending new organization structure
  • Improves employee satisfaction by identifying and responding to concerns, developing morale-building programs
  • Maintains consistent actions across the organization by initiating, coordinating, and carrying out human resources policies and procedures; obtaining management consensus on new programs; developing managers’ leadership skills
  • Maintains organization compliance by identifying and enforcing legal requirements; providing training for completing requirements; submitting reports
  • Sustains equitable compensation administering pay, benefits, incentive, and bonus programs
  • Supports focus on job results by maintaining a job-results planning, monitoring, and appraising program; training managers to focus on results
  • Provides guidance to department managers and supervisors in resolving employee relations issues as it pertains to progressive disciplinary action
  • As Site Ethics Compliance Officer. Provides written summary and Quarterly Summary Reports.
  • Participate and/or lead HR related and Business Unit projects as assigned
  • Partners with Pall leaders around engagement, surveying and methods to improve employee engagement through coaching, facilitation and training

Who you are

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management or similar, PHR/SPHR or others accreditations is preferred.
  • 7 or more years professional experience in Human Resources Business Partnering within a large multinational global organization.
  • Current or prior experience providing site-based HR leadership for plant based operations that includes HR oversight for a minimum of 400+ employees and oversight for multiple locations
  • Broad understanding of the technical and functional components of Human Resources, including: employment law, employee relations, compliance management in a large organization, compensation, employee relations, diversity and inclusion (D&I) recruitment, talent management, absence management, organizational planning, leadership development, coaching, training, engagement and building trust.
  • Manufacturing / Life Sciences industry is desired
  • Sound knowledge of US Federal and State labor laws and government requirements
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Must have excellent verbal, written, listening and influence skills and be able to present facts clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, along with a history of work related to continuous improvement
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with solid judgement and discretion is critical
  • Possesses intellectual curiosity, agility, resourcefulness, confidence, and a comfort with ambiguity
  • Ability to vacillate from strategic thinking to tactical execution in a matrix environment
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Workday
