Responsible for periodic accounting and recording tasks.
Responsibilities:
    • Primary responsibility is the review and analysis of financial records for companies and cost centers as assigned. This consists of the preparation of work papers in good format and financial statements with footnotes as required on a monthly, quarterly and/or annual basis in conformity with company policies and accounting principles. Also includes gaining an understanding of relationships between cost centers and companies, and reviewing financial information to ensure it follows those relationship.
    • Accounting for cash transactions and reconciling monthly/yearly activity, preparing detailed analytical reviews of certain balance sheet accounts, performing annual general ledger closing.
    • Maintains and reconciles various general ledger accounts.
    • Assists in the reconciliation of all inter-company transactions and consolidation issues.

    • Compliance – Maintains strict confidentiality of all financial information.
    • Business Acumen – Understands business implications of decisions, aligns work with strategic goals. Assists in the balance sheet analysis of each hotel. Prepares various supporting schedules as assigned.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from a four year college or university; two to four years related experience is required. Extensive knowledge of accounting, general ledger control, and computerized accounting systems is necessary. Analytical and problem solving skills, ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, ability to adapt to changing requirements, and work well under tight deadlines are a must. Ability to use independent judgment to establish daily priorities is very important. Must have a valid drivers license, and acceptable driving history subject to company approval.
