Position: Sales Coordinator
Northwest Automation Products currently has an opening for a Sales Coordinator in our Tigard, OR location. We are a premier distributor of automation products, including robots, conveyers, and pneumatics. This is a full-time permanent position with benefits in a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and the ability to multi-task while building relationships with vendors, customers, and outside sales managers. This position works very closely with every member of our team from the company president to accounting and the warehouse team. Salary will be based on experience.
This position has four main areas of focus: inside sales coordination, purchasing, account manager support, and backup for shipping and receiving. Work duties will include:
  • Process all incoming purchase orders from customers.
  • Answer incoming calls from customers to answer questions, suggest products as needed, and take orders.
  • Submit POs to vendors and manage interactions with vendors.
  • Manage the sales process for all sales channels from purchase order and data entry through to shipping.
  • Ensure accurate pricing of products.
  • Learn basic technical information about product lines in order to better help customers.
  • Analyze profit margins on sales orders to identify and address any issues early in the sales lifecycle.
  • Research issues as needed and manage resolution.
  • Ensure accuracy of all sales transactions in Prophet 21.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our customers and vendors.
  • Maintain customer, vendor, purchase order, and sales order records.
  • Shipping and receiving as needed to back up our warehouse manager.
  • Learn warehouse organization and product lines.
  • Assist with inventory reconciliation as needed.
  • Work with accounting and ownership to ensure accuracy of data and achievement of company goals.
The ideal candidate for the Sales Coordinator position will be someone with at least 2 years of inside sales or customer service experience who is self-motivated, customer focused, extremely dependable, able to quickly learn and master new skills, very attentive to detail, and able to multi-task and manage competing priorities. Computer competency is expected and experience with P21 or other ERP systems is a plus. Some knowledge of automation products or a strong desire to learn is needed to be successful in this position.
