What You’ll Do:
- Welcome all guests and ensure they are given responsive, professional and gracious service at all times.
- Seat guests based on guest preferences and under the direction of the management team. Work to balance out the guest flow and maximize covers in the dining room.
- Accommodate special seating requests whenever possible. Understand how to accommodate guests with disabilities within the dining room to ensure they have a pleasurable experience.
- Uses Open Table system for appropriately facilitating reservations and guest placement.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment. Keep all service stations/areas clean and organized at all times.
- Communicate pertinent information to a Manager in a prompt fashion to respond to any guest needs and provide the highest possible level of service.
- Participate in line-up and all required staff meetings, asking questions to stay informed and knowledgeable of new menu items and wine choices. Contribute to discussions and bring forward suggestions for improvement.
- Ensure equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs.
- Be able to properly manage time and resources and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Perform guest restroom quality checks frequently during service through personal inspection.
- Be available to fill in as needed or as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor to ensure restaurant operations are smooth and efficient.
- All other duties as assigned.
