Duties and Supporting Responsibilities:
Provide professional advisory support to the Human Resources Department in the following to include but not limited to:
- Coordinate and conduct all job search activities (networking, internet, maintain MOHG Recruitment website. Responsible for updating, changing, or revising website with communication to MOHG).
- Conduct all initial interviews (telephone/in-person) of all staff inclusive of union, administrative and Managers. Follow established guidelines and both federal & state laws.
- Make recommendations of all interviewed candidates for further consideration, set up all additional interviews as necessary; track applicant progress including of elimination from process with appropriate notification of rejection.
- Coordinate all actions and follow-ups with appropriate Department Heads and Executive Committee members.
- Oversee the HR Coordinator in connection with necessary new hire paperwork for the candidate to initiate work.
- Ensure all termination paperwork is properly completed (i.e. exit interview, return of all hotel issued property, locker inventory, etc. Notify Benefits Manager with regard to cancellation of insurance and COBRA notification.
- Oversee performance of HR Coordinator and Benefits Manager provide support as needed.
- Participate with the Director of Human Resources in the preparation of HR annual budget.
- Assist the Benefits Manager in all employee recognition programs to include Employee of the Month, holiday parties & celebrations.
- Assist HRD in the preparation of all necessary reports to MOHG (Group Director of Human Resources) turnover/retention, etc.
- Maintain the MOHG/MONYC Recruitment website.
- Involvement in the local community and volunteering programs
- Active role in the delivery of MOHG Colleague Experience Survey
- Development of middle management colleagues through succession planning and coaching.
- Assist HRD in all union matters inclusive of mediation meetings, arbitrations, etc.
- Maintenance of HRIS system, inclusive of audits.
- Ensure security and confidentiality of all information throughout the hotel.
- Assist and participate in training programs to include all socialization programs and LGE’s.
- Requires high levels of interaction with all members of staff. Exchanging ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulates policies and procedures and/or arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutions.
- Support Learning & Development and Employee Relations functions.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-5 years in Human Resources management, in hospitality, required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years in luxury property preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Hospitality, HRM or related discipline
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent time management and problem resolution
- Strategic minded, conscientious, and down to earth
- Thorough knowledge of Human Resources practices
- Thorough knowledge of Federal, State, and City laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resource matters
- Thorough knowledge of IWA and a great deal of Union Labor experience
- Must possess proven track record in recruitment.
- Must possess excellent knowledge of all departments internally.
- Must possess ability to coordinate with multiple tasks.
- Must possess ability to develop subordinates.
- Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, etc.
- Excellent communication skills both written/verbal.
- Problem solver

- Possess high degree of stamina, agility and flexibility.

- Bi-lingual communication a plus but not required.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $115,000.00/ Yearly
