Half Day Cafe, serving perhaps the best breakfast and lunch in Cincinnati, is seeking someone to join our team at both our Mason and Wyoming locations to work in a Service Bar / Barista position. We recently received our liquor license, so we are expanding our drink menu and need someone on Saturdays & Sundays that is 21+ years old to pour the alcoholic beverages for our service staff. She/he would also backup the barista and help make and deliver both alcoholic and non-alcoholic coffee drinks to guests. No bartending experience is necessary as we will be training all our staff to make a limited menu of new beverages.
Day time only hours are always a perk here at Half Day Café, and we are closed on all major holidays. Help us provide our guests with amazing service and a selection of fresh and interesting food and beverages in a friendly neighborhood setting!

Service Bar / Barista Job Summary: The Half Day Cafe Service Bar Barista ensures all guests are provided with exceptional prompt service. They’ll make and deliver all alcoholic beverages and some non-alcoholic coffee drinks for our dining room service staff. The Barista also answers phones and processes to-go orders, so this position will help with those tasks as well. As with all our staff, the Service Bar Barista describes beverage menu items, assists guests in making drink selections and assists fellow team members to ensure overall guest satisfaction at Half Day Cafe! $200 incentive paid 1/2 at 30 days and 1/2 at 90 days*
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Restaurant/retail experience and/or knowledge of preparing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic hot & cold beverages is a plus, but not required
- Must be upbeat, outgoing, and positive
- Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment; multi-tasking skills are a must
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
