Blue Barn Cider Corp. is the parent company of Pomona at Blue Barn, a leading venue in the Rochester, NY events market. Pomona at Blue Barn Cidery is seeking a motivated and energetic Seasonal Part-Time Event Staff member to help support the success of our growing Wedding Venue in Hilton, NY. Candidates must be hard-working, reliable, love getting creative and want to be a part of someone's special day! This position requires a self-motivated and disciplined individual who is focused on helping the team succeed with a positive attitude.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be punctual (show up for work on time as scheduled)
• Have a positive attitude and be committed to the success of the team as a whole
• Must be eager and willing to learn about the event industry
• Must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must be 18 years old or older with a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation
• While not required, preference is given to candidates with prior event experience

SALARY & HOURS

• $15 - $17/hour + tips
• Part-time hours: up to 16 hours per week
• Must be available on weekends

• This position is seasonal, April through November. Strong staff may be given the opportunity for ongoing employment or seasonal re-hire.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Venue Coordinator on day-of weddings & events by:

• Setting up, executing, and tearing down ceremony spaces; setting floorplans in the ballroom; direction of vendors and guests; decorating public areas; and ensuring a smooth flow of the event timeline
• Strong communication skills, MUST be able to have conversations with clients, bridal party members, vendors, and other guests as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
