Soelect Inc. develops advanced battery components to power the next generation of electric vehicles, power tools and mobile electronics. Soelect is partnering with General Motors and one of two GM’s invested portfolio companies in the battery space in 2021. We are looking for a Web Designer to join a world class lithium metal anode company. Summary: This role is responsible for (from time to time) updating content and the overall design/layout of the company website.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Soelect team to determine vision/requirements for update tasks/projects.
• Update website with new information, content, etc.
• Design images, banners, bullets, charts, and other graphics to improve the site’s appearance.
• (When needed) overhaul the website design/layout to keep it fresh and up to date.
• Ensure website function and stability across devices (desktop, mobile, tablet).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Digital Media, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Graphic Design
• At least 3+ years of professional web design experience
• Demonstrable graphic/web design skills with a strong portfolio
• Familiar and proficient in working with WordPress
• Experience with HTML, Javascript, and CSS
• Knowledge and experience with Django is a plus
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Excellent visual design skills
• Excellent time-management skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and other related software.

Job Type: Contract - Hybrid (MUST be able to come on-site from time to time)

Pay: Will be based on projects
