POSITION OVERVIEW: This position is responsible for unloading and loading of fruit at our warehouse in Oxnard, California. The incumbent will provide a wide variety of support to the operation, including discharging and receiving product. This is a non-exempt position

- Unload and load customer’s orders as instructed by Warehouse Operator and scanning the pallets when performing the unload and load of orders
- Monitor equipment in the warehouse (coolers) to ensure proper operation.
- Daily inventory and quality check of fruit in coolers
- Alert the Warehouse Operator and/or Management on any fruit quality issue identified when unloading the equipment
- Daily use and inspections of assigned forklift, recharge of batteries and weekly/biweekly watering of batteries.
- Special projects and miscellaneous assignments as necessary or required
- Maintain the warehouse and loading docks clean
- Ensure compliance with corporate food safety guidelines. This includes training and knowledge /Food Safety guidelines and the application of these guidelines in day to day activities
- High School Diploma required.
- Forklift Driving Certification.
- English preferred/Spanish a plus.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be forward thinking, organized, efficient.
- Self-motivated to complete responsibilities in a timely manner.
- Must be flexible with work schedule and available to work overtime, on weekends and holidays.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
- Most work is performed in a temperature insulated warehouse environment,
- Ability to lift up to 50 Lbs. banana boxes up to 80" off the ground when required (not a frequent task)
- Incumbent may stand for long periods of time.
- Stooping, bending, twisting, lifting, pulling, pushing, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
