This is a full-time position located at our food manufacturing plant in Lee's Summit, MO.

Hours for 2nd shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Directly manage 5-7-person team to support warehouse and production operations.
• Outline and prioritize work for the team that includes managing pick sheets, receiving product in the WMS, generating cycle counts, and processing Bill of Ladings.
• Use wireless RF scanning equipment in the warehouse and WMS system in an office setting.
• Coordinate daily with Warehouse Manager and Transportation team to support customers and 3PL partners.
• Use forklift (sit-down / counter-balanced) and other material handling equipment to pick, stage, load, or receive goods.
• Manage drop trailers in the yard and move in/out of dock doors into staging areas.
• Maintain flow of materials and products to / from production staging area and ensure it is properly returned to the warehouse.
• Communicate and support other departments (Purchasing, Quality, Maintenance, and Production) to ensure overall company success
• Inspect and perform light maintenance of forklifts and material handling equipment. Identify safety hazards and prepare work orders to correct issues
• Train employees on all operational and safety procedures and audit team for efficiency.

Requirements

• Fork lift experience is a must have for the position. Specifically, being able to safely, and accurately load trailers and maneuver into drive-in racks.
• Hostler experience preferred. The position does require using a hostler to move trailers in the yard. Previous experience is preferred, but can be trained on site.
• Warehouse Management System knowledge. Be able to scan product to orders, move material in the system, and trouble shoot problems.
• Basic Microsoft Excel and Outlook experience. This position requires a professional touch when communicating and managing data.
• Fast pace that requires excellent attention to detail, organization skills, and verbal/written communications skills.
• Able to see the big picture and assist with process improvements.
• Prefer prior supervision experience, preferably in warehouse/distribution
• Understand and adhere to all quality guidelines, and food safety standards to ensure the company meets or exceeds the quality requirements of our customers
• Must have good training skills, and ensure direct reports are 100% compliant with safety training/compliance
• Must be able to delegate job tasks, audit the work flow, and hold the team accountable for results. Having the ability to manage/resolve conflict is essential.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the main focus of this position is to ensure the highest level of service to our customers in a 24/7 operation. The Warehouse Foreman must provide direction to the team and coordinate with multiple departments to maintain high quality standards and deliver complete customer satisfaction. Must be able to deliver results in an efficient and safe manner while maintaining to all Philadelphia Macaroni policies, standards, and procedures.

The position is a full-time position with an expectation of 45-50 hours per week. Some Saturday / Sunday work is necessary. Flexibility with shift preference and scheduled work days is required. Shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shift ($.50 for 2nd and $.60 for third shift). Time and half pay for Saturday and double time on Sunday. Overtime kicks in daily after 8 hours worked.

This position is in a manufacturing facility with temperatures 90–115 degrees, relative humidity 50-70%, and machinery noise. Hearing protection, steel-toed shoes (first pair is on us!), safety glasses, and hair restraints are required. Plant uniforms are provided and must be worn at all times in the factory.
