The candidate to successfully fill this role will be conversant and experienced in a wide variety of defense and intelligence community space markets. This position is responsible for enabling growth in these areas of the company’s strategic emphasis, and in establishing a technology roadmap that supports growth plans.
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Enable elements of the company’s strategic plan centered around growth in DoD markets, (particularly with the AFRL and USSF), the intelligence community, international markets, and national labs.

  • Identify key customers and influencers within this marketspace and establish and develop new strategic business relationships with customers and relevant prime contractors.


  • Identify, develop and help pursue new business opportunities within the marketspace including technology development and in-space testing and demonstrations.


  • Support the development/update of Aegis Aerospace strategic roadmap for technological resources and implementation. Ensure technologies are used efficiently and profitably in support of business strategic goals.


  • Research, evaluate, and advise on new systems and infrastructure for commercial space service, technology and engineering services, and product development that could enhance our position in the marketplace.


  • Expand the utilization of Aegis Aerospace space testing assets (e.g. MISSE, RAC, STEFF, M-1 Satellite Bus). Identify and recommend enhancements to meet current and future customer needs.


  • Engage with decision makers to ascertain current and future requirements. Identify strategies and solutions to address customer needs. Develop solicited responses to customer Requests for Information, and unsolicited whitepapers and presentations proposing solutions addressing customer requirements.


  • Promote and represent Aegis Aerospace capabilities, products and services to key marketspace customers. Develop solicited responses to customer Requests for Information, and unsolicited whitepapers and presentations proposing solutions addressing customer requirements.


  • Support new business capture activities by identifying win strategies and proposal themes and discriminators to maximize win probabilities. Participate in new business capture and proposal reviews and other activities.


  • Monitor the execution performance of relevant Aegis Aerospace projects and programs, and guide efforts to ensure total customer satisfaction and mission success.


  • As a key member of Aegis Aerospace’s leadership team, advise company executives and other company leaders and program managers on matters related to doing business with the DoD, the intelligence community, international markets, and national labs.
Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Experienced with, and has established relationships in DoD markets, (particularly with the AFRL and USSF), the intelligence community, and international markets.
  • Proven ability to execute the responsibilities above with successful outcomes
  • Proven ability to lead a team, and work successfully as a team member, to produce a high-quality product
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in STEM discipline
  • Extensive knowledge of organizational structures and work scope of DoD (particularly USSF and AFRL) and military Intelligence organizations.
  • Capable of receiving a Top-Secret Clearance
