Are you motivated, have a great attitude, love kids and enjoy working on a team? We have a unique opportunity for a Triage Registered Nurse (RN) at Metropolitan Pediatric Specialists! With offices in Burnsville, Edina, and Shakopee, we are looking for a full-time employee that enjoys fast-paced community clinic environments. Duties include:

Telephone Triage:

• Receive patient phone calls and offer guidance following established protocols.
• Complete refill requests.
• Complete necessary forms and records release.
• Communicate with physicians in order provide appropriate care.
• Complete all necessary EMR documentation.

Customer Service:

• Facilitate relationship between patient and provider.
• Develop relationships with patients, family, and outside agencies to facilitate coordination of care.
• Follow through to resolve service problems promptly and professionally with the involvement of appropriate clinic staff.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to use customer service skills to positively impact the experience of care for our patients, external customers and internal service partners.
• Ability to work collaboratively on projects.
• Skill in identifying problems, problem solving and resolution.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and work in conjunction with appropriate site management team members.
• Demonstrate sound judgement and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to prepare and maintain detailed records, files, reports and other correspondence.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective communication.
• Ability to perform the job in accordance with Metropolitan Pediatric Specialists policies, that includes compliance, ethics and integrity, confidentiality, protection of assets and avoidance of conflicts of interest and inappropriate business relationships.

Education/Experience:

• Successful completion of a Registered Nurse Certification exam.
• 5 years previous clinical experience preferred and/or telephone triage experience.
• Bilingual/fluent in English and Spanish, Hmong, or Somali preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Completion of accredited nursing program, Registered Nurse.
