This is a permanent full-time salary position with Arcadis, working on-site in Columbus, Ohio at the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Traffic Management Center (TMC). The successful candidate will work on a daily basis with the Arcadis project team, with TMC operators, and with ODOT traffic engineers. You will provide operational and technical support our client, ODOT, in their use of our software to improve traffic operations across the state of Ohio. You'll be a critical interface between the Arcadis product team, the ODOT management team, and our end users – the TMC Operators, so good communication and relationship management skills are indispensable. Your key responsibility will be helping our client team-answering their questions and investigating and either escalating or resolving their issues. Experience working with customers is a definite plus.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day user support, answering questions and explaining processes and workflows to aid users in understanding system functionality
• Troubleshoot device and system configuration issues
• Manage system configuration with devices, base mapping updates, and system parameters
• Identify desired operational outcomes and implement system business rules to improve efficiency and support standard procedures
• Analyze operational data and develop reports to help our clients monitor and improve transportation system performance
• Tracking reported issues and current resolution status, maintaining close communication with the
• Maintaining close communication and coordination with the Project Manager, other Traffic Operations Managers and ITS Engineers/Technicians.
• Be available to be on-call for off hour support when the need arises

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with others
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Knowledge Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
• Knowledge of Transportation System Management and Operations (TSMO) principles and strategies, including traffic incident management
• Experience working with/providing user-support of computer hardware and software systems
• Ability to travel to other US and Canadian offices
• Ability and willingness to work alternate work schedules
• Two (2) to eight (8) years of experience
• College Degree in Engineering, Math, or other STEM field of study
