St. Louis School in Clarksville, Howard County, seeks qualified candidate to serve as a Classroom Teacher in grade 4 beginning in August 2023. The teacher is responsible for sharing core subjects with a grade-level teaching partner. The teacher will work in concert with a grade-level partner teacher to plan and execute lessons, including coordinating with other disciplines to promote cross-curricular activities. The position has a full-time instructional assistant.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe and nurturing program grounded in Catholic beliefs for students.
• Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with best teaching practices; Observe and assess student progress, recording such progress and sharing with parents as required by school policy.
• Value all students as individual learners and work to differentiate instruction to support identified needs.
• Maintain an attractive, organized, engaging learning environment.
• Communicate in a clear and professional manner. Written communication is grammatically correct and error free.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Maryland State Teacher's Certification or willingness to obtain within three years
• Practicing Catholic preferred
