Location: Madelia, MN

Our growing surgery department is looking for an experienced Surgical Tech or Scrub Nurse to join our team. We are looking for a detail-oriented person with a desire to provide high quality care to our patients. Must have excellent communication skills. No weekends, holidays or call.

Qualifications –

Required:

• 2 years Operating Room experience, including pre/post/intra
• Current Minnesota Registered Nurse Licensure (RN)
• Basic Life Support Certified and Advance Life Support Certified
• Background study and pre-employment drug testing required

Responsibilities:

• Provide pre-op, post-op and intra-op care to patient.
• Complete patient assessment, collection and interpretation of pertinent data relevant to patient’s care.
• Documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient response.
• Prepare supplies and equipment necessary for the surgical patient, and perform cleaning and sterilization of instruments in the surgical suite.
• Communicate patient’s condition to physicians and other providers as appropriate.
• Detail oriented approach to care and documentation to ensure accurate and complete.
• Handle emergent situations calmly and efficiently, responding quickly and demonstrating knowledge of emergency procedures and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned
