Job Title: Strategic Business Specialist
Division: WW (WW)
Department: Outside Sales
Reports To: Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Sales Manager
Summary: The Strategic Business Specialist works to identify various methods, products, materials, and strategy solutions in support of the Strategic Business Unit (SBU). This highly collaborative role requires close communication and cooperation with sales and operations teams in seeking new best practices, unique and creative business methods, and increased overall value.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
1. Manages, communicates, and conducts behavior in direct support of company foundation and pillars.*
2. Understanding the purchasing needs and demands of the Strategic Business Unit (SBU). *
3. Researching and identifying prospective suppliers and vendors*
4. Liaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations*
5. Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria*
6. Negotiating with the suppliers to include price, quality, quantity, delivery time, etc. *
7. Preparing purchasing terms and conditions as well as pricing quotes.*
8. Creating purchase orders and ensuring that they tally with the order received. *
9. Analyzing the invoices to ensure accuracy.*
10. Maintaining a healthy relationship with the vendors and suppliers. *
11. Tracking stock in the inventory and restocking the items as and when required. *
12. Working closely with the Production and Sales team members.*
13. Inspecting the quality of the stock on a regular basis.*
14. Adhering to the rules and regulations of the company. *
15. Preparing and presenting inventory reports to the Purchasing Manager.*
16. Resolving shipment issues faced by the vendors.*
17. Updating the order details in the internal database. *
18. Staying up to date with the latest trends in the industry.*
19. Up-to 75% travel*
20. Provides additional Operational Support, when practical.
21. Performs other related duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no direct reports.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Sales, Business Administration, or relevant field. Specific experience and time in a leadership role within the discipline may also be considered in lieu of education requirements. Proven work experience as a Purchasing Specialist, Purchasing Assistant, or a similar position in a Sales or Logistics department. Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment is desired, but not required.

Facility grounds may vary based on location, and may include extreme heat and cold, variable terrain, and variable noise levels. Occasional use of PPE may be required, to include gloves, eye protection and hearing protection.

Pay: $69,301.00 - $80,000.00 per year
