We’re seeking a Staff Accountant/ Cost Accountant on a direct hire basis for a large, national medical device corporation located in Union City.

DETAILS:

• Direct hire, permanent opportunity
• Salary is $90k-$110k+quarterly bonuses and $3k SIGNING BONUS!
• M-F in office but start and end times are very flexible
• Location is a smaller subsidiary of a larger, national medical device corporation
• This is a manufacturing site, but this role will be working in a corporate office, not on the floor
• Company offers full medical/dental/vision, retirement, three weeks vacation, PTO, and sick time!

Duties:

• Monitor and reconcile inventory reserves and obsolescence
• Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits
• Update data in ERP system
• Assists in month-end closing, prepare journal entries, and perform balance sheet and expense analysis
• Perform other month-end close and reporting duties (accruals, journal entries, budget to actual overhead analysis)
• Analyze cost accounting data and assists with cycle count/physical inventories
• Review and analyze inventory and variance reports
• Conducts research and perform analytical studies
• Assist in preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements and weekly/monthly management reporting packages
• Assist in special projects

Requirements:

• At least two years of experience as an accountant with some experience in cost accounting
• Must have inventory experience
• Strong attention to detail
• COVID vaccination and continuing boosters is required (note: This specific client has this requirement, not Kelly Services)
