Shift: 1st (6am-4:30pm) Monday-Thursday
Essential Key Functions and Accountabilities : (Responsibilities and major tasks performed)
Drive safety initiatives and practices to ensure a safe working environment.- Implement a detailed cell schedule to meet the production schedule requirements
- Expedite production through plant to the next processing point in conformance with SOPs and quality specifications to meet or exceed the production schedule and production standards.
- Set-up Efficiencies- 95+%. Goal 4: 200 hours minimum of combined direct labor per week for set-up associates. (Average of 10 hours per week per set-up associate).
- Coordinate services provided by other departments (e.g., maintenance, toolroom, quality, engineering, etc.).
- Assign associates to jobs/tasks they are qualified/skilled to perform.
- Coordinate shift “handoffs” for assigned cells and ensure shift-to-shift cohesion.
- Administer 5S program for assigned shift and area, including performing monthly assessments.
- Conduct cell meetings to share performance and communicate goals.
- Coordinate manpower scheduling for plant to meet production plans for assigned cells, adhering to Company policies and approval processes (including budgetary) for additions and overtime.
- Coordinate vacation schedule for assigned cells to assure required coverage.
- Coordinate the availability and timing of material required to execute the production schedule
- Manage the production reporting transactions within assigned cells to assure accuracy and coach associates who report incorrectly.
- Process nonstandard manufacturing activity as required.

- Control: Evaluate and take action to improve business unit (financial & other measurements) and individual performance/behavior (resolve conflict, disciplinary action, performance coaching, motivation, etc.).
- Conduct team meetings utilizing the standard agenda that monitors performance, identifies problems and opportunities, drives corrective action and continuous improvement, and facilitates communication.

Experience and Education Required:
3-5 years’ experience with lean manufacturing preferred
7 years’ experience in managing a manufacturing department required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
