Senior Manager, Product Planning Air

Key within your role is managing Air shopping & booking capabilities within our Travel Experience & Commerce platform. As we are expanding the capabilities of our Commerce platform we are looking for a real expert on Air, both from an agent as well as a traveler point of view. Air shopping includes everything from the access to content including GDS and Non GDS accessible content, business and client policies, the user/booker experience, to operational handling of air bookings.
As a
Senior Manager, Product Planning Air, you
will
- Monitor your product development project to ensure its on-scope and on-schedule
- Support preparation of market introduction and hand-over to product delivery teams
- Make sure your assigned products have sound business plans, including an analysis of product profitability, sales success, and pricing strategy
- Collaborate with Technical Product Managers and the engineering teams to define, develop, and deliver great products and services, according to agreed priorities and timelines
- Collaborate with business stakeholders of the products / services that you are responsible for, to understand how to better serve the business through improved product capabilities
- Identify current market needs and possible future gaps in our offering and conduct feasibility studies to bring ideas forward
- Define metrics to measure success, to then monitor the impact of what you delivered, to then learn, adjust, further enhance, and deploy
- Building relationships with our vendors; listen to their thoughts and concerns and foster ways to work together
- Documenting the workflow, technical development and configuration for support and product delivery teams
About you
- 7 years relevant work experience in business travel and/or travel management
- Minimum 5 years GDS experience essential – Sabre and Amadeus
- Thorough experience with Air content integrations, OTA standards, XML, API, being able to manage successfully a content project from initial stage until production phase, collaborating with multiple teams
- Thorough understanding of best practices in Air shopping & booking UI/UX
- Thorough understanding of the operational processes around Air shopping & booking
- Thorough knowledge about key Air content providers
- Experienced in Agile development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both in virtual and f2f environment
- Ability to motivate yourself and be able to get up to speed quickly - functioning independently in a supportive team
- Excellent time-management and project-management skills: you'll be constantly challenged to balance multiple initiatives, projects and perspectives
- Capable of managing and working in a virtual/remote, multinational and multicultural environment

The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Senior Manager, Product Planning Air is between $85 000 and $110 000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
