Senior Investigations Manager
Job description
- Creates analysis of service line KPI’s and Investigation statistics on a monthly and quarterly basis and share results with Executive leaders and other stake holders.
- Creates quarterly reports of trend analysis results for distribution to external funders, and internal stakeholders.
- Uses investigation data to drive improvements in the care of program participants
Systems Management:
- Works collaboratively with the National Director of Investigations in assigning, managing and the review of participant driven investigations. Manages investigations in funder required electronic databases (where applicable) by ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
Communication:
- Will serve as reinforcement for the Investigation Director’s absence.
- Supports the Investigation Director in identifying, onboarding and development of all Certified Investigators employed or contracted with the corporation.
- Works closely with the Compliance and Regulatory Incident Managers to provide advice and leadership to programs and departments during administrative reviews of investigations to ensure compliance and to mitigate risks of individual in the corporation’s care.
- Provides audit results and reports of investigation related statistics to various stakeholders including funders, department directors, corporate leadership, and human resources
- Communicates with regulatory bodies regarding investigations, general information, and changes in policies
Compliance:
- Ensures regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local operating regulations as it relates to the management of program’s adherence to the health safety and rights of the individuals served by the corporation.
- Is responsible for working with the National Incident Director and the National Director of Investigations to develop and facilitate trainings to individual programs in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all matters related to incidents and investigations.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
Required Experience:
- Master’s degree in behavioral health or related field with 5 years of experience in incident investigations management is preferred, or a Bachelor’s degree with 7 years’ experience in incident management, or a High School diploma with 10 years of experience in incident investigations management may substitute for education.

Required Qualifications:
- Credentialed as a Certified Investigator with at least two years’ experience investigating incidents relating to the Health, Safety, and Rights allegations. In the absence of an initial Certified Investigator certification, must be able to obtain a Certified Investigator credential within 6 months of hire.
- Knowledge of state/funder regulations related to incident reporting and investigations.
- Investigative skills, including ability to formulate investigative questions and methods, structure related interviews, and review documents and collect evidence.
- Interpersonal style characterized by professionalism, patience, effective communication skills, and ability to remain calm in emotionally charged situations. Excellent relationship building skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to coordinate work within a team environment.
- Ability to travel to RHD program sites within the United States.
