Job description
This role will support the Aetna Medicare department's ability to achieve its strategic goals through effective financial planning and analysis.
The Medicare Advantage product is a $35 billion business and represents a significant contribution margin and future growth for Aetna. This position will report to the Director - FP&A and manage a team of three analysts to oversee forecasting for the Individual Medicare Advantage line of business.
Responsibilities include forecasting membership, revenue, and medical claims expense, P&L owner reporting, overseeing strategic investment modeling, assisting with financial close processes, and ad hoc analysis to support business decisions.

Minimum: 75,400
Maximum: 162,700

- Lead the Individual Medicare Advantage financial forecasting for membership, revenue, and medical expense modeling in quarterly forecasts, annual budget, and long-term strategic plan processes. Responsibilities include modeling building, data, and assumption application, analysis, and reporting.
- Manage, support, and develop a team of three analysts.
- Analyze financial variances and trends across months and years to explain and inform future projections.
- Work cross-functionally to provide support for a variety of drivers that impact Medicare business performance.
- Build and present reporting and results to Business, Market, and Finance Leadership.
- Collaborate with multiple Medicare business teams to build financial models for investments that align with the business’ top strategic priorities.
- Ad Hoc requests/analyses based on the needs of the business.

Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of Finance forecast/FP&A experience
- 2+ years of Healthcare or Health Insurance industry experience
- 2+ years in a supervisory/leadership role
- 2+ years of experience prioritizing and managing concurrent projects and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree with a focus on Finance/Accounting
- Experience with Medicare Advantage
- Team-oriented with demonstrated ability to innovate and improve processes
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Experience interfacing and presenting to senior leadership
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written)
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain financial models
Education
