Role Value Proposition
The Senior Business Procedures Consultant II on our team is a senior level subject matter expert who provides cross-market support functions across Regional and National Accounts while supporting sales staff in the internal and external pre-sale activities associated with the acquisition of new business.
They will leverage expertise and internal partnerships to develop client specific business plans and solutions to meet the needs of PEO/Association clients thus optimizing sales outcomes of the supported segment.
Key Responsibilities
- Address and research pre-sale client and administration questions from sales force, producers, brokers, or prospect contacts.
- Partners closely with Service, Implementation, UW and other partners to define solutions around operational breaks to ensure successful implementations and customer experiences.
- Coordinates all entity regulatory review requirements with compliance; coordinates entity assessment, communicates filing and regulatory needs internally and externally, stores all key data in central repository.
- Acts as a liaison to the Regional Market and National Accounts onboarding and sales team during post-sale activities to ensure what was presented in the pre-sale is successfully implemented and regulatory requirements are understood.
- Supports Customer and broker discussions related to compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively engages multiple business partners within MetLife (Legal, Operations, Marketing, Claims, Product, Compensation) to define requirements, ensure they are well defined and supportable to address entity specific issues.
- Establishes strong relationships with Product Teams, Filing Team, Law Department and Actuarial Department needed to support business needs.
- Escalates when needed and finds solutions for barriers that threaten the effective sale or on-boarding of new relationships
- Research, compile and drafts responses to RFP and RFI request and supports development of prospect strategy with Proposals teams; coordinates service answers with applicable service leadership.
- Helps develop and produce client proposals and presentations.
- Manages pre-sale strategy related to unique compensation agreements and determines general compensation strategy.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Life and Health License or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
- Ability to problem solve and influence change; proven ability to analyze a situation, identify problems, and develop actionable solutions and present recommendations in a logical and clear manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to build relationships at all levels and work cross-organizationally and influence others.
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated strong project and time management skills with ability to consistently meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
- Passion and enthusiasm, and an ability to maintain demeanor, flexibility and focus in a dynamic and high intensity environment.
- Ability to balance tactical/hands-on responsibilities against broader strategic perspective

- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Preferred:
- 8+ year’s customer service experience with core and voluntary products, processes and systems.
- 3-5 years of contracts/compliance/regulatory experience.
- Knowledge of group insurance provisions, insurance regulations pertaining to policy forms and filing procedures.
- Experience evaluating changes in state regulations and their impact to the business.
- Strong understanding of key PEO/Association business drivers
- Ability to champion continuous learning & development

The wage range for applicants for this position is 80,000 to 134700. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation.
