Covenant Special Projects (Protective Services) ~ CSP is hiring for State of TX Level 2 Security Officer's to undertake the surveillance of customer premises and protection of facilities staff and visitors. Officers will be responsible for detecting suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior. Security officer's must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. The ideal candidate will inspire respect, project a professional stance and present authority as well as possess a high level of observation.

CSP will provide State Security Officer Licensing Training to otherwise qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
• Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
• Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations
• Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
• Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
• Provide assistance to people in need
• Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
• Adhere to CSP standards of conduct and policy

Skills

• Proven experience as security officer or willing to learn security related skills and procedures
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
• Familiarity with report writing
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
• Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
• Registered as a security officer
• High School diploma is required

Requirements:

• US Citizen / minimum of 21 years of age
• US State issued drivers license and proof of current automobile insurance
• HS diploma or GED
• Preferred Military / Law Enforcement / First Responder / Security experience
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Must speak and write English at adequate level to prepare detailed report required by the position
• Spanish Language capability preferred
• TX Positions: Must possess TX Security Level 2 license.
• Must submit to and pass a criminal background check
• Must be in sufficient physical condition to preform demanding duties (patrols, standing for extended periods, walking distances, etc.)
• Must be able to work in outside environmental conditions
• Must adhere to CSP Policy and Procedures, CSP Standards of Conduct and Client Operating Guidelines (includes COVID-care procedures)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.50 per hour
