SUMMARY
The Room Service Server ("Servidor de Habitaciones Nocturno") provides a courteous, timely, and professional service in-room service shows complete knowledge of all menus and pricing, as well as exhibits a proactive, customer-oriented attitude.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Responsible for answering the phone and taking the guest's order over the telephone
• Cordially and professionally informs the guest of the menu items, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service
• Prepares food items from menu on occasion
• Follows cash and credit card handling policies at all times
• Is responsible for completion of their assigned opening and closing procedures
• Sets up the table and serves food from a cart
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training. If no educational background, at least 1 year
• A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement
• Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred
• Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges
• Current industry certifications required: Food Handlers Certification & RBS Certification
• Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required
• Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.
• The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
