Mare Island Brewing Co.'s First Street Taphouse, located in Benicia, CA is currently seeking a passionate, experienced, and efficient Restaurant Manager to join our management team. Voted ‘Best of Vallejo' 2017, 2018 and 2019, we pride ourselves on embodying the rich history of Mare Island, serving up delicious craft brews paired with seasonally unique food offerings while being the local watering hole that our community has embraced. As part of our management team, the Restaurant Manager will oversee all aspects of operations and service at our Taphouse location. This position has significant autonomy, while reporting to the Director of F&B Operations for our entire company (three outlets), working with the Executive Chef (over three outlets) and the dedicated Sous Chef (at the Taphouse).

Job Type: Full-time (40+ hours per week)

Pay: $64,480K plus possible performance bonus, depends on experience.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Staffing: all FOH hiring, scheduling, discipline, training, etc.
• Opening/closing, and working floor to facilitate customer service.
• Overall P&L responsibility, including labor and food costs.
• Oversee maintenance schedule and needs for facility.
  
• Assist in smooth running kitchen.
• Private event execution (we have a private events manager who books events).
• Oversee programming: music, trivia, etc.
• Participate in manager meetings to help guide company.
• Interface with community (donations, downtown association meetings, etc).

Experience and Skills:

• Minimum two years experience as restaurant manager (or we will consider with strong assistant restaurant manager experience and gumption).
• Knowledgeable and capable in all aspects of restaurant operation.
• Strong Leadership and people-management experience: hiring/firing/discipline/development.
• Some Business unit management experience.
• Customer service expert.
• Beer knowledge a plus, but not a requirement; we can teach.
