Job description
In your role as Requirements Engineer (m/f/d), you will lead and/or coach complex R&D tasks at SAFe program level (iterative development model) or within a System Core team (linear development model).
You drive holistic product definition for both hardware and digital products that puts customer needs at the center of our products and enables informed risk acceptance and decision making by accounting for both hidden and apparent user needs, business requirements, as well as regulatory and non-functional considerations.
Participate in needs / requirements analysis with Product Owner or Area Product Owner and other stakeholders to produce clear and unambiguous definitions of features and non-functional needs.
Facilitate creation and maintenance of epics, feature descriptions, user stories, requirements, and specifications during the product development process
Support all sites and projects teams with subject matter expertise in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools (Integrity, JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
Support teams with report generation, trace matrices, test support, etc.
Maintain and continuously improves the associated IT tools and train teams on usage
Key responsibilities:
Work with ARTs and teams to support writing epics / user story / requirements efforts
Elicit requirements and needs using interviews, document analysis, workshops, storyboards, etc. with special emphasis on surfacing non-apparent, hidden, alternate path, or assumed requirements
Work with strategic stakeholders to elicit and maintain business requirements
Capture the true “why” of user stories and requirements and establish rationales that can be used to make tradeoff design choices
Ensure Definitions of Done are comprehensive and internally consistent
Create and maintain analysis models using multiple alternative views as appropriate, which could include UML use case and class diagrams, prototypes or scenarios.
Participate in backlog prioritization and maintenance activities
Establish, implement, and refine effective requirements practices, procedures and tool use
Attend area planning, integration, and demonstration sessions
Support individuals and teams in interpretation, traceability, and requirements tracking.
Manage changes to baselined requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools.
Manages planning for technical and design reviews related to analysis. Participates in peer reviews and inspections of models and documents, and other word products derived from those models to ensure that they were interpreted correctly.
Who you are:
You have successfully completed a degree in a technical field, preferably engineering or science.
You have 1-3 years of professional experience in engineering, research and development
You have extensive knowledge and experience in the regulated industry
You have very good communication and presentation skills, combined with a confident demeanor and negotiation skills, in addition you know how to argue assertively.
You are used to working with contacts from various hierarchical levels up to the highest management level
Strategic thinking is one of your strengths and you continuously strive for improvement.
Innovation and inspiring others with new ideas is very important to you
You are familiar with and have the ability to apply modern requirements elicitation -analysis, specification, review, and management practices
You have basic knowledge of agile/lean approaches to requirements management
You are strong domain knowledge of PTC Integrity, JIRA or other ALM tools
Very good written and spoken English skills complete your profile
Software coding / developer skills preferred
