Project Manager
Established in 1999, Transcon Environmental, Inc., offers environmental consulting services throughout the United States with our Corporate Office based in Mesa, AZ and offices in Ferndale, San Francisco, and Santa Rosa, California; Cedar City and Draper, Utah; and Rawlins, Wyoming.

Our highly successful team of environmental planners, biologists, and archaeologists provides environmental planning, permitting, and compliance as well as infrastructure siting, Class I and Class III studies, Historic Property Treatment Plans, and environmental construction management and monitoring. We are seeking a senior-level Project Manager to serve as an advisor/manager for utility, water, solar, and telecom development projects. Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to attract and retain clients as well as develop and implement strategies that will positively impact the growth of the company’s services.
Compensation and Benefits:

Work is remote, however travel may be required for projects. Drive time is paid. When working multi-day assignments, employee will be reimbursed for meals, lodging, and mileage, if applicable.
Compensation is based on qualifications and relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Leading multidisciplinary teams of technical staff
- Independently to manage complex projects
- Tracking and managing project deliverables
- Documenting compliance/noncompliance with resource protection measures
- Interacting and coordinating with various clientele, federal, state, local, and tribal agencies
- Conduct background research and data collection on land use and environmental topics for NEPA documents.
- Compose or review summaries of environmental background studies prepared by technical experts, such as transportation and circulation, geology and soils, air quality, and/or noise.
- Attending and leading project meetings
Skills and Requirements:
- B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) in environmental science or another relevant field
- Preferred 6+ years professional experience in environmental industry working as a primary Project Manager on NEPA projects or other similar large programs. Applicants with fewer years of experience may be considered for other related roles.
- Ability to perform work duties independently and efficiently with short deadlines, as well as working in a team setting
- Ability to interact and coordinate with various clientele, federal, state, local, and tribal agencies
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Organized, motivated, thorough, accurate, dependable, and trustworthy
Experience in the following is preferred:
- Experience with construction projects
- Familiarity with typical transmission or electrical utility operations and maintenance activities
- Familiarity with ESRI GIS applications (including desktop, ArcGIS, Collector, Survey123, etc.)
