Project Coordinator PFS Scope of Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate prevention strategies with the Prevention Department Team at Youth Services System, Inc., the Prevention Lead Organization serving Region 1, the northern panhandle of West Virginia. Work with community coalitions, schools and youth serving organizations to impact youth age 9-20 who are at higher risk of developing a Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Be trained to facilitate trainings in schools and the community. Coordinate youth programs, host group meetings, and provide opportunities for youth leadership. Improve the health and safety of the environment for the entire community. Attend professional development trainings, state and national conferences, and become a Certified Prevention Specialist.

Project Coordinator PFS Minimum Education / Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service or Related Field Preferred (Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, etc.)
• Certification in IC&RC Prevention Specialist I or II Eligible Required
• Experience in Substance Abuse Prevention or Community Health Preferred
• Experience Working with Multiple Community Sectors and Working with Youth Preferred
• Experience Working with Grant Funds, Project Coordination, Outreach, Public Relations & Public Speaking Preferred
• Valid Driver’s License

Project Coordinator PFS Work Location:

• Physically Located at 87 15th Street in Wheeling, WV. Some Activity will Require Travel and Non-Traditional Business Hours to Include Evenings & Weekends. Flexible Scheduling.
• Intermittent remote work may be requested for approval by supervisor in limited exceptional circumstances.
