JOB SUMMARY: The Program Manager provides comprehensive management of the Adam's Place Low Barrier Shelter, ensuring that the program and services are in accord with best practice standards, contract and grant requirements, and agency practices and procedures. The position oversees fiscal, operational, administrative, staff management, and quality practices of the program; seeks and develops outside funding sources; and liaises with external community partners.
Supervisory Responsibility: Provides administrative supervision of up to 6 FT’s.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and oversee the administrative and daily operations of the program in support of overall program goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership and direction to all program staff and volunteers; oversee supervision of staff, which includes recruiting, staffing, hiring, performance evaluation, training, and professional development; set standards for customer
service; conduct regular staff meetings; communicate policies and procedures; and facilitate team dynamics. - Manage program budget and expenditures to ensure that available funds and resources are used efficiently in conjunction with Director of Men’s Shelter.
- Oversee and maintain quality program practices, ensuring compliance with best practice standards, contract grant requirements, and agency practices and procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
- 3 years of progressively responsible non-profit experience in program management.
- 1 year of supervisory experience.
SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of budgeting and fiscal management principles.
