About the role
Fazzio Law Offices is looking for a talented Paralegal to join our team located in Hoboken, NJ. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join our growing company and gain hands-on experience supporting our attorneys in litigation and transactional matters. You will be interacting closely with attorneys on legal matters and play a meaningful role in working on significant legal projects for a dynamic company.
What you will accomplish
- Build stronger client relationships by receiving and communicating client feedback on our work;
- Field client intake calls and speak to potential clients about their legal needs with compassion & empathy, preparing detailed notes for the attorney, scheduling and facilitating consultations by preparing the draft retainer agreements and collecting documents for the attorneys to review;
- Keep the firm calendar and docket upcoming court dates, appointments, & consultations;
- File pleadings, motions, and other court documents from case initiation, through discovery, and preparation for trial;
- Assist with and coordinate paper and electronic discovery, including identifying electronically stored information and issuing litigation holds, preparing and responding to initial notices to produce, interrogatories, requests for admission, and third-party subpoenas and organizing all discovery materials, deficiency letters, correspondence, and evidence for individual cases;
- Handle all aspects of loss mitigation for an active foreclosure docket, requesting necessary information from clients and submitting necessary financial documentation to Servicers and Banks, providing different options for loan modifications, and communicating with the Client;
- Manage Real Estate Transactions by monitoring the status of the Contract of Sale, Attorney Review, Title & Lender deliverables, transfer documents, Closing Disclosure or HUD Settlement Statements, and ensuring the calculations and flow of funds to Close is confirmed in advance of Closing; and
- Support the firm’s attorneys in a variety of tasks with a view to best-in-class customer service and making the attorneys and administrative staff's lives easier.

Credentials
Notary license or willingness to get one required
Bi-lingual in Spanish helpful but not required
Prior legal experience preferred
Compensation
Negotiable based on experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
