This position requires collaborating with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing nurse case management services for fertility treatments.

We are seeking experienced part-time OR Scheduler to join our Fairfax, VA team. The schedule is working every other Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

How You'll Contribute:

We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the OR Scheduler is responsible for:

• Schedules each IVF patient’s LE date based on the type of IVF cycle the patient is to undergo
• Verifies that patients requiring a PGD consult have completed the consult and all required paperwork is completed and available in the medical record
• Contacts physician and/or primary nurse as needed to verify the patient’s likelihood of completing IVF cycle as initially anticipated
• Adds daily LE starts to the IVF Master List as well as daily egg retrievals and updates IVF totals daily
• E-mails accurate, updated IVF schedules weekly and ASC schedules daily
• Responds to inquiries and requests from physicians and nurses
• Maintains a current, up-to-date log of patients requiring a procedure schedule date and informs physicians as necessary of any unexpected backlog
• Schedules patients for all operating room and transfer room procedures taking into account scheduling guidelines, staffing requirements, patient requests, and physician schedules

What You'll Bring:

• Strong Microsoft Excel experience
• Minimum of 2 year’s experience in a medical position, knowledge of infertility strongly preferred
• Ability to demonstrate good judgment
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
• Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft office suite including Word and Excel
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in an ever-changing environment
• Ability to remain calm under stress
• Strong attention to detail
