Job Summary

Under close supervision answers Nursing Education and Research Department phone lines in a timely, courteous manner and routes calls appropriately or takes accurate messages. Maintain office supplies and equipment by placing orders for supplies/services. Submits and follows up on repair request.

Essential Functions:
  • Answers Nursing Education and Research Department phone lines in a timely, courteous manner and routes calls appropriately or takes accurate messages (30%)

  • Maintain records and files which support databases (10%)

  • Accurately inputs into database identifies errors promptly (10%)

  • Produces and distributes timely and accurate reports (10%)

  • Assist with opening/closing of Department (5%)

  • Prepares and submits to payroll deposit daily (5%)

  • Reserves rooms for instruction for Department (5%)

  • Upload classes into Cornerstone (5%)

  • Sends out notification to participants (5%)

  • Maintains office supplies and equipment (5%)

  • Submits and follows up on repair request (5%)

  • Prepares invoice payments for certification cards (5%)

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED Required

Work Experience:
  • 1-3 years clerical or administrative experience Required and

Licenses:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Telephone, computer and scheduling system skills.

  • Organization and communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain adequate supplies.

  • Ability to demonstrate professional work behavior by following guidelines established by policies and procedures.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • Ability to work independently and with others.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems within limits of established policies, procedures, or instructions.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of word processing and data entry systems.

  • Proficient in the Learning Management System, Cornerstone

  • Proficient in Sharepoint.
