Cleveland Clinic’s Martin Health is looking to add a Retail Nutrition Services Assistant to their dedicated team of caregivers. As a Retail Nutrition Services Assistant, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the set-up and delivery of our food service. This includes assisting with the daily dietary requests and needs of our patients, visitors and caregivers as well as maintaining clean and orderly work areas. Responsibilities:
- Prepare, set-up and replenish steam table, salad bar, cooler, baker’s racks, coffee area, condiments, silverware, etc. throughout meal period.
- Makes pizzas to order and maintains all pizza ingredients.
- Set-up and support of catering events.
- Maintain register and proper cash handling with overages/shortages of less than 1.5% of total drawer.
- Ensure proper food temperature using calibrated thermometers.
- Rotate, prepare and label all leftover food using proper procedure.
- Set-up, serve and collect dinner patient trays.
- Perform other Nutrition Services Assistant Clinical duties as needed.
- Complete cleaning assignments.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must have good basic reading and writing skills; ability to add and subtract and handle other arithmetic functions. Ability to organize work tasks and function without close supervision.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be able to make accurate measurements for preparation and portioning formula and food items.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in nutrition in healthcare setting.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand on feet for 8 hours; push carts loaded with food and service related equipment and stock; able to lift items up to 25 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
