Network Administrator

Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor), is an award-winning IT solutions provider. Astor is headquartered in Rockville, MD, and is seeking a Network Administrator to join a diverse team in support of one of its federal clients. This position is based in the Menlo Park, CA area. A hybrid work model may be available for consideration.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing hands-on support of network equipment including (but not limited to): switches, routers, servers, firewalls, circuits, controllers and other telecommunication devices/technologies by vendors such as Cisco, Aruba and Juniper
• Assist in setup/configuration of network devices as per agency's security protocols and industry best practices
• Work with customers and other team members to analyze/troubleshoot/resolve issues with network equipment
• Prepare network documentation such as diagrams and SOPs as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with network devices/technologies including (but not limited to): switches, routers, servers, firewalls, circuits, controllers and other telecommunication devices/technologies by vendors such as Cisco, Aruba and Juniper
• Experience/knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, SNMP, DHCP, ARP, IGMP
• Strong verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and support multiple applications
