Mdtown Detroit Construction (MDC) is a dynamic construction company in Detroit with a three-pronged community impact mission:

1) Build affordable homes for Detroiters

2) Utilize a workforce consisting of at least 90% minorities on all construction projects.

3) Provide on-the-job training opportunities that strategically prepares employees to obtain a Michigan Residential Builders License for career advancement.

We are currently rehabbing a 50 unit apartment building in Detroit that will be one of the first smart buildings in the city!

The role of a Drywall Finisher may involve the following duties:

• Plastering/ mudding & taping
• Sanding

Experience:

• Minimum of 6 years experience as a Drywall Finisher

Knowledge:

• Drywall installation and finishing
• Using Flat box, automatic drywall taper, and other automatic drywall tools

Skills:

• Great attention to detail.
• Understanding of construction projects and processes.
• Team working and collaboration skills.
• Leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Mud and Tape: 6 years (Required)
