NorthShore University HealthSystems is hiring Med Techs for Elmhurst Hospital! These are full-time, permanent positions. Apply today for immediate consideration!

Available Shifts:

• Full time, Evenings, 2pm-10:30pm
• Full time, Nights, 11:00pm-7:30am

Weekend and Holiday Requirement:

• Saturday-Sunday. Every other weekend
• Rotating Holiday schedule

No on-call requirement!

Pay: Starting at $28.05 and increases with experience. Shift differential added for evening and night shifts

Job Description:

• Med Techs are responsible for operating and maintaining the equipment used to analyze specimens and ensuring that tests are completed in a correct and timely manner.
• The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at NorthShore provides inpatient, outpatient, and reference lab services to the four NorthShore hospitals, Medical Group physicians' offices, private physician offices, and other healthcare facilities in the Chicago area.
• Nearly all laboratory tests are performed on-site, providing extensive anatomic, clinical and molecular pathology services. This allows us to expedite results for quicker treatment and better outcomes for patients.
• For tests not processed in our leading-edge facilities, we rely on trusted external laboratories such as Mayo Medical Laboratories.

Must Haves:

• Experience: Formal Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist training OR experience working in a clinical setting for a lab as a MLT, MT, or MLS. Night shift is a generalist position - Must be familiar with blood bank, hematology & micro biology
• Education: BS in Med Lab Tech Science required

Preferred:

• MT, MLS, or MLT (ASCP) certifications or equivalent and ongoing active certifications strongly preferred
