What you will do:

• Responsible for medical records through preparation, compilation, analysis, maintenance and filing.
• Maintains a well-organized system of closed and open medical records so that records are available to interdisciplinary personnel as needed and other authorized activities.
• Assists the center in upholding the confidentiality of medical records and protecting the resident's privacy rights
• Assigns ICD-9-CM codes to conditions upon admission, during the stay and at discharge
• Orders office equipment, forms, etc. as directed by Executive Director
• Assists nursing in general secretarial and clerical duties
• Any other tasks as assigned by the DNS

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a LTC setting PREFERRED
• Working knowledge of Medical Terminology REQUIRED
• Ability to speak, understand, read and write in English

Compensation for roles at Pullman Care varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by state and local law, Pullman Care provides a reasonable pay scale to include the hourly or salary range that Pullman Care expects to pay for roles they may be hired in Washington, as stated below:
