We are located in the Chatsworth area and have an immediate opening for Mechanical Assembler to join our team.

The Mechanical assembler will perform various assemblies, subassemblies, testing of Tracking Mounts and other technical equipment. Employee will assemble final product using blue prints, complex assembly drawings, schematics, instructions and diagrams.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

· Prepares work to be accomplished by studying and interpreting assembly instructions, blue prints specifications, parts list, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.

· Position and fasten units to assemblies and subassemblies.

· Position and align parts, using fixtures, jigs and templates.

· Connect and install electrical wiring and harnesses.

· Measure dimensions/clearance of parts to determine tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and veneers.

· Test for mechanical reliability.

· Inspect, test, and adjust completed unit to ensure that unit meets specifications, tolerances and customer order requirements.

· Set up, maintain, troubleshoot and repair custom-designed manufacturing and test equipment.

· Assist with any other task assigned by management.

· Position will require ability to work overtime and travel as needed.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

· Qualified applicant must possess a min. of 6 years related experience.

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

· Position requires high degree of electro-mechanical skills and strong analytic ability

· Experience with all mechanical hand tools.

· Requires the ability to read and interpret blue prints & complex assembly drawings, schematics, diagrams and instructions.

· Knowledge of AS9100 procedures a plus.

· Lathe, mill, and drill press experience desired;

· Applicant must be flexible to work in different environments (rain, cold weather, etc.).

· Must be flexible to work overtime and travel when needed.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires ability to walk, sit, climb, talk, see and hear, stand, use hands, reach, pull heavy cables, heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
