Mathnasium — The Math Learning Center, located in Hoboken NJ, has
openings for regular part-time math instructors/teachers. We are
looking for candidates that share our positivity and passion for
teaching, math and motivating children to succeed. We set ourselves
apart by creating an environment that is supportive, encouraging,
energetic, and most importantly, FUN!

At Mathnasium, our teaching philosophy revolves around teaching
math in a way that makes sense to kids, kindergarten through high school,
and helping them gain confidence in their math knowledge with the
goal of helping them improve in their math education. We focus on
strengthening math fundamentals by building math skills and number
sense.

We tutor year-round, so this is an opportunity for regular part-time
work, from 8 - 24 hours per week. You must be available at least two
days a week in the afternoons for 3-4 hours at a time.

All candidates are required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Be able to work 2-3 days a week within the hours of 2:45pm - 8:15pm
• Experience working with children as a teacher, tutor or mathematics instructor
• Exceptional math skills from basic operations through Algebra
• Concise and adaptable communication skills
• Energetic, confident and mentoring personality
• Passion for education and teaching math
• Ability to tutor in a small group setting
• Completed or pursuing degree in math, education or related fields preferred'
