Overview:
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
The Marketing and Events Coordinator will help oversee and coordinate marketing projects and initiatives, internal and external events; be an active participant in working with the Marketing Director in maintaining a friendly, productive relations with key business and community groups. This includes all event logistics, execution and activation of leads and opportunities. Participates in creating marketing materials and collateral and supports day-to-day marketing activities.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plans, coordinates and executes all aspects of marketing and corporate communications events such as receptions, meetings, charity events, trade shows, and employee/internal events.
- Duties include event logistics, scheduling, food and beverage, entertainment, guest lists, invite creation and delivery, registration/attendee tracking, pre- and post- event evaluations.
- Executes all aspects of events, such as set-up, breakdown, check-in, ensuring vendors perform duties and coordination of activation of leads and opportunities from events.
- Coordinates staff engagement at events and coach team members to be more effective in such settings.
- Conducts research, make site visits, and find resources to help make decisions about event venues and opportunities. Recommend ideas and help implement them to improve events and event execution.
- Supports marketing initiatives and projects as assigned by the director.
- Supports bank projects with marketing and communication needs as assigned by the director.
- Works with the Marketing Director in maintaining friendly and professional relationships with business and community organizations, including participation in negotiation of contracts with those groups.
- Provides administrative support as needed to the Marketing Director.
- Organizes and maintains shared files and brand/marketing assets.
- Processes invoices on a timely basis and submit to Finance for payment.
- Manages approvals of employee requests for marketing materials on FiSi/Supply Manager.
- Maintains archive of news mentions and advertisements.
- Serves as Photographer at events, when needed.
- Performs additional duties as needed to support the day-to-day activities of the marketing team.
- Participates in any marketing and corporate communication duties as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules.
Minimum 2 years experience in event coordination and planning.- Knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to take and give the proper constructive criticism where it is due
- Extremely organized and meticulous
- Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks and workload
- Possess excellent communication skills in all aspects
- Adaptable and quick to learn new processes and tools and a “whatever it takes” attitude
- Track record of performance meeting targets and objectives
- Self-directed, goal-oriented and flexible, enjoying working in a fast-paced and at times challenging environment
- Ability to work cross-functionally and with a wide range of employees with different skill sets
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Outgoing, personable, and a “team-player.”
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
