The HQ Personnel Directorate's Workforce Development Division (AFRL/DPD) is seeking to hire an individual to serve as a DO-02 (GS-12/13 equivalent) management analyst for AFRL Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) and Training Initiatives. Position duties include, but are not limited to:

Servies as the AFRL corporate expert for the AFRL enterprise Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP)
  • Provides authoritative APDP information, guidance, decisions, and management advisory advice throughout AFRL
  • Reviews, interprets, and disseminates Air Force and AFMC policies, guidance and directives regarding APDP for both civilian and military personnel
  • Prepares implementing guidance for AFRL management and personnel in response to new or modified agency/command policies and instructions
  • Works directly with AFRL representatives to resolve specific APDP issues, problems, or questions impacting AFRL employees and/or positions.
  • Assesses AFRL employee acquisition related work experience via resumes and officer performance reports to determine appropriate level of adjudication
Serve as a focal point for AFRL-wide Strategic Workforce Development training programs and initiatives.
  • Assists with planning, designing, scheduling, implementing, managing and supporting AFRL enterprise strategic workforce development training programs, events, activities and initiatives
  • Advises AFRL management on the enterprise's investment of resources on the right education and training for the right people
  • Conducts follow-up analysis on training programs, externally led workshops and off-site training activities
  • Participates on committees and working groups representing AFRL as a corporate workforce development training focal point at various organizational levels internal and external to AFRL
  • Preparing and delivering oral and written presentations to convey information about AFRL workforce development activities.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: To ensure compliance with an applicable preliminary nationwide injunction, which
    may be supplemented, modified, or vacated, depending on the course of ongoing litigation, the Federal Government will
    take no action to implement or enforce the COVID-19 vaccination requirement pursuant to Executive Order 14043 on
    Requiring Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination for Federal Employees. Therefore, to the extent a Federal job
    announcement includes the requirement that applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 pursuant to
    Executive Order 14043, that requirement does not currently apply. Federal agencies may request information regarding
    the vaccination status of selected applicants for the purposes of implementing other workplace safety protocols, such as
    protocols related to masking, physical distancing, travel restrictions, screening testing, and restriction from the workplace.

  • Demonstrated ability to gather, assemble, and analyze data to make recommendations and support decisions
