JOB SUMMARY:

USA Industries is growing. A key step in this growth is our expansion into the State of Louisiana, in the cities of Baton Rouge, Geismar, and Gonzales areas to better serve our existing clients and attract new clients. Referred to as the “LA Branch”, this location will be a new site mirroring all distribution functions needed to serve clients like we have in South Houston including sales, order fulfillment, inventory management and shipping. As a Branch Manager, you will manage all internal store operations for this market including hardware and software systems, shipping and receiving systems and managing walk-in business. You will grow the staff as needed and commensurate with the growth of business through this location. You will ensure execution of the USA strategic vision and goals through leadership in the areas of talent management, customer service, sales growth, and cost to serve. You will report to the Director of Operations.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

This position will be located in State of Louisiana, either Baton Rouge, Geismar, and Gonzales cities. To start, the branch manager will need to handle all functions. Within 60-120 days, we expect the business demands will warrant hiring additional shipping and sales personnel. In general, the branch needs to:

  • Communicate with customers both internally and externally in a timely and professional manner with a sense of urgency.
  • Provide sales quotes and order fulfillment documents through our CRM, Salesforce.
  • Organize domestic shipments via multiple means depending on client urgency.
  • Responsible for communication across multiple USAI departments to ensure customer orders are completed on time.
  • Minimize costs through effective communication, accurate data entry and record keeping, and utilization of ERP system, Epicor.
  • Review sales orders to address any issues or concerns that could cause order processing or shipping delays.
  • Develop and create operating procedures for inbound and outbound supply and inventory control.
  • Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly statistics relevant to logistics and inventory.
  • Process documentation for shipments (BOL) and coordinate with carriers for outbound shipments and pickup request.
  • Evaluate and determine root causes for Overages, Shortages, and Discrepancies
  • Maintain a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Resolve and track customer complaints and issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Related industry experience in Manufacturing, Industrial sector, or Oil & Gas.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of management and sales/customer service experience supporting sales activities.
  • Project management, planning, and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership with both strategic and executional functionality preferred.
  • Branch start-up experience in the industrial sector is preferred.


Work Experience

  • 5 plus years working in a branch management role with customer service/sales experience, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial sector, or Oil & Gas environment with similar product lines.
  • Knowledge or familiarity with industrial tube plugs, orifice plates and/or heat exchanger that has a strategic mindset preferred.

Skills

  • General knowledge of PC related skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as ERP and CRM systems, Salesforce, Epicor.
  • Computer proficiency in PC based application including Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to new software programs; Intermediate to Advance proficiency skills in MS Excel is necessary.
  • Must have exceptional relationship-building skills and be self-motivated to quickly learn USA's product lines.
  • Prioritize work to meet schedule fast-paced deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • It is expected that the successful applicant will rapidly build knowledge of the products USA Industries manufactures, sells and/or rents.
  • Excellent customer service and sales experience.
  • Strong analytical, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow-up skills are essential.
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Must be able to be work effectively in a fast-paced environment independently.
