About the Job:

Your primary goal at Elsewhere is to realize the artistic vision of the artists performing. In order to do this, you will interact directly with the artists and their teams and will make suggestions as to how our capabilities can help to present their vision in its most undiluted form. Under no circumstance should you have a negative impact on the performance of the artists. This includes keeping a positive atmosphere, being helpful, and working to ensure that you protect our technical equipment while using it in a way that helps and does not hinder the artists’ performance.

As a Technician at Elsewhere, you are working as a member of a team. Even when you are the sole member of the Production department on site, it is expected that you are working in concert with the operations staff. Ask your colleagues how you can help. Ask others to help you.

Responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to the below:

• Operating lighting, video and projection equipment during events- which can include live concerts, club nights and private events. Facilitating the use of our system by guest engineers. Assisting with rigging, board operation, programming, etc. Occasional ladder & scissor lift work

• Assisting with Artist load-in and load-out. It is expected that all staff can handle the physical aspect of this job, with the exception of being temporarily unable to do so (e.g, being hurt will not put you out of work, to the best of our ability.) Lend a hand where you can and work as a team.

• Keeping the show running on schedule while working respectfully alongside the artists, the rest of the production team, and the venue managers

Qualifications

• Experience on, or understanding of, Chamsys MQ80, Chamsys Magic Q PC Wing Compact, ELM LED control

• 2+ years experience
