DUTIES:Major Duties:
Serving as a laborer responsible for weekly residential garbage pick-up, emptying the garbage hauler at designated transfer stations and landfills.

Serving as a laborer responsible for delivery of 15 and 21 yard dumpster equivalent trailers to customers, picking up the trailers and emptying them at a designated transfer station and landfills.

Serving as a laborer responsible for picking up and delivering various gravel and landscaping products.

Serving as a laborer responsible for assisting with various tasks on a job site, assisting as needed with hand raking, shoveling, inserting drain tile, and hand loading various materials into a trailer.

Serving as a laborer responsible for other job duties as assigned, including minor vehicle and equipment preventative maintenance, greasing, fluid changes, and tire repair.

Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 06:00 A.M. to 04:00 P.M. Friday are flexible with overtime. Employee receives (2) 15 minute breaks, (1) 30 minute lunch. Some days are flexible between an 8 and 10 hour day, subject to the workload for the day. Work week will be adjusted to accumulate 40 hours per week.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Valid NYS Driver License
• Clean driving record
• Be able to drive and operate a pick-up truck hauling a trailer
• Be able to lift a minimum of 100lbs
• Minimum of 18 years of age at the time of hire
• Preferred but not required – background in general maintenance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be able to throw bags of residential garbage into a garbage tailer weighing up to but not limited to 100lbs. Must be able to physically enter and exit a pick-up truck multiple times throughout a day.

REQUIREMENTS (Failure to comply may be grounds for withdrawal of an offer of employment, or dismissal after appointment):

• Applicants must be citizens of the United States.
• Applicants must be no younger than 18 years old.
• Applicants must possess a valid NYS Driver License with a clean driving record.
• Applicants must meet any physical, language, license or degree requirements.
• Applicants tentatively selected for certain designated positions may be subject to a random drug screening for illegal drug use. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment.
• New Appointees may be subject to a probationary period.
• New Appointees will be subject to a background investigation to determine suitability.

General Contract and Terms of Employment:

• Employee Estimated Starting Gross Salary - $13, 440.00 per 6 month term paid bi-weekly
• Employee receives six (6) paid holidays which include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day.
• Employee receives one (1) week paid vacation after one (1) year of employment
• Employee receives (8) sick hours per month, with carry over benefits.

• Employee may earn Compensation time for work hours approved outside of regularly scheduled hours.

Tentative Job Offer Agreement:

The terms of this job offer are contingent on a clean driving record and approval of company management.
