Candidates for this role should have kitchen or line cooking experience and leadership experience.
Assist with catering needs which may include placing orders, communicating with the end guest, arranging preparation, execution, and set up as needed
Tip Share Distribution
Create and execute weekly prep lists
Practice and actively engage in preventative maintenance (ice machine, coolers, dishwasher, etc.)
Delegate daily/weekly tasks to SPoTters as needed
Train SPoTters on prep work and food plating techniques
Order materials, supplies, and ingredients based on demand
Supervise SPoTters and organize food orders
Oversee the food preparation and cooking process
Monitor inventory levels and perform monthly inventory assessments
Hold SPoTters accountable for adhering to food safety and service standards
Qualifications
In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should also demonstrate outstanding leadership and organizational abilities
ServSafe Certification (company will facilitate course and exam, if necessary)
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year supervisory or leadership experience, preferably with a specialty coffee store
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Provide excellent teamwork and support to employees
Excellent problem-solving and conflict management abilities
Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends
Uphold a high level of cleanliness
Ensure a top notch guest experience
Excellent knowledge of food safety and handling regulations
Excellent knowledge and understanding of culinary basics and/or espresso drinks
Excellent communication and customer service skills, in person and on the phone
Ability to complete jobs as assigned by management team
Demonstrates initiative, is forward-thinking, conscientious and provides follow-through on areas of responsibility
Ability to work in fast-paced environment, on your feet for duration of the shift
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and frequently bend and twist from the waist
Frequently required to use hand and finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms
Regularly required to handle food, hot beverages, and work with sharp objects
Must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Proficient on computers; familiar with programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Must be able to adjust vision to both day and night lighting, and be able to focus on distant and close-range projects
Responsibilities
The Kitchen Manager will oversee daily operations of the back-of-house
Their primary goal is to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and complies with safety regulations
Duties include ordering food, preparing ingredients, monitoring inventory levels, and supervising employees
