ABOUT KIDZONE
Welcome to the fun world KidZone! KidZone hosts 4 camps a year; fall, winter, spring, and summer following school breaks on the Lake Oswego School District calendar. Camp hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm. Part-time and full-time hours are available. Additional hours for other KidZone programs or events may be available throughout the year. The next camp is Summer Camp (June 19 - August 25).

WHAT A KIDZONE CAMP COUNSELOR DOES:

• Supervises school-age children during the KidZone program.
• Facilitates activities such as group games, arts and crafts, science experiments, sports, outdoor games, and food activities
• Monitors the campers while hiking or swimming
• Makes every day a fun and positive environment for the campers

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 16 years of age
• Enforce all KidZone policies, rules, and regulations.
• Report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor.
• Recognize and respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
• Model expectable behavior for participants.
• Ensures areas used for activities are kept clean and orderly.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

• Pediatric First Aid/CPR, AED (within 30 days of hire)
• Background Check (over 18 years of age only)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.25 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• Afternoon shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift

COVID-19 considerations:
KidZone abides by all guidelines recommended by the Oregon Health Authority and Center for Disease Control.

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
