Start Date: July 1, 2023 or a date agreed upon by school administration and board
Salary: Annual salary of $95,000-$105,000 dependent upon education, endorsements, and experience. Plus a generous benefit package including relocation assistance. Our district is committed to meeting the needs of the candidate selected. Co-curricular stipend opportunities are available if interested.
Contract: 220 days

Sherman County School is seeking a team-oriented leader that fosters a positive school culture to join our friendly, inviting and dedicated team. The principal is the instructional leader of our comprehensive K-12 school, responsible for establishing an instructional vision and a focused plan for improving student achievement; monitoring and supervising instruction; evaluating and supporting teachers in improving their instructional practice; creating a community of continuous learning for all staff and students; and fostering a culture of high expectations.

The current K-12 Principal was recently promoted to Superintendent. This will provide a seamless transition for the candidate selected for the K-12 Principal position.

Qualifications & Experience:

• MA/MS or Doctorate Degree in either Education or Administration.
• Successful classroom teaching experience at either the elementary or secondary level.

Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required:

• Valid Oregon Administrative Licensure from the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission in the State of Oregon or the ability to obtain
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance
• Successfully pass district background and drug screening
