JUNIOR VARSITY FIELD HOCKEY COACH – STEVENS HIGH SCHOOL
OVERVIEW

• Under the supervision of the Assistant Principal, Athletic Director and the High School Head Coach, will work to coordinate the Stevens High School and Claremont Middle School Field Hockey program
• Develop and establish a high-quality program founded on sound principles, strong team values, and the ethics of hard work, commitment, loyalty, honesty, respect and sportsmanship all within a fun learning atmosphere
• Help to communicate all information regarding the Stevens High School and Claremont Middle School Field Hockey program to the parents, and community

• Work cooperatively with the assistant principal, athletic director and head coach, administration, staff, parents, community and key stakeholders of SHS and CMS Field Hockey
• Motivate and connect with our student athletes
• Be an integral member of a program that spans grades 6-12
• Work cooperatively with and support all other coaches in serving the needs and interests of all student/athletes
• Combine the reinforcement of basic skills with advanced skills needed for a competitive Field Hockey program
• Communicate with Athletic Trainer to ensure safety and healthiness of student athletes
• Utilize Strength & Conditioning Coach for conditioning of student athletes

• High School Field Hockey and the complexities of the game/events
• Current NFHS and NHIAA rules, policies and procedures

• Commitment to program and helping the growth of student athletes
• Strong work ethic coupled with great leadership
• Ability to provide constructive feedback to student athletes
• Superior organizational skills

• Red Cross First Aid certificate, including CPR training
• NFHS and NHIAA coaching requirements

• At least three years of successful Middle School and/or High School or Club level experience preferred
